A series of five original oil paintings inspired by the St Blaize Trail and the wild coastline of Mossel Bay. 🌊🎨
This series is my personal interpretation of one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes around Mossel Bay — where cliffs, fynbos, ocean, rock formations and constantly changing skies come together.
Rather than creating five identical interpretations, I wanted each painting to have its own character. The clouds, light, colour and movement are deliberately improvised, allowing the series to develop naturally while still belonging together as one body of work.
Painted in oil on canvas, these are original, hand-painted artworks created by Jacques Schutte / Arts Busted.
The series explores the contrast between the rugged landscape and the enormous open space of the Southern Cape sky and ocean — from dramatic coastal cliffs to turquoise water, rocky shoreline and distant horizons.

They can be displayed together as a complete St Blaize collection, or individually as pieces of the Mossel Bay coastline.
